What is super-k?
- New super-k league format! | registration now open!
Super-K was designed to provide a better path to learning the game at the Kindergarten age level. Super-K is comprised of all children registered or enrolled in Kindergarten. There are no mandatory weekday practices. Small sided games with pugg nets or smaller goals are used to develop awareness, technical skill and mainly a love for the game! These high scoring affairs are so much fun!
This Fall, all Kindergarten athletes will be introduced to a new Super-K league format!
This new format will allow kids the opportunity to spend more time on the ball, work in a more focused setting and gain the knowledge needed to prepare them for the 7v7 games that lie ahead in the U7 and U8 (1st grade) age group next year. Below is the outline of what families can expect from this new setup:
- Super-K will be split into three different time slots. 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:30am. Much like Little Cleats with a smoother transition to live small-sided games.
- There will be a maximum of 30 kids per time slot
- Teams will be made upon arrival with a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 per team, based on attendance
- Pinnies to differentiate teams will be handed out to all players as they arrive by our volunteer coaches
- We encourage coaches to create new team formations each week
- Players will compete in three (3), small-sided, 15-minute games every Saturday morning
- WE SUGGEST: Arrive early to get in a quick training session with your coach before you take the field
- Referees will keep games moving and teams will rotate around the different fields, festival style.
This “Round Robin” layout will allow them time to stop in-between games, get some quicking coaching tips and feedback, then return to the next game with a fresh start and positive energy
We believe the 3v3 and 4v4 style games provide your child with the proper approach to long term development that will stay with them as they grow. Every program uses small sided games to develop footwork skills, awareness, reaction time and more. This is where they begin to learn how to play the game THE PROPER WAY!
We truly have your childs best interests in mind and know this new format will be very exciting for everyone in the field and on the sidelines!

What is Winter futsal/indoor Soccer?
Indoor Futsal is a small-sided (6v6) indoor soccer league assembled to keep kids active, hone their skills in the offseason and share a fun, social environment with many other kids their age. A weighted, heavier “futsal” ball is used to eliminate some of the bouncing and allows for better control on the hardwood floors. Our indoor futsal league supports players from local communities outside of Bloomfield including but not limited to Glen Ridge, Nutley, Clifton and Montclair. There is no Indoor soccer/Winter Futsal for 7th-9th grade.
*There are no weekday practices of any kind during our Indoor season – All events held inside Bloomfield High School

Co-ed soccer for children aged 3-10 offers a multitude of benefits that transcend same-gender leagues, fostering a more inclusive and well-rounded developmental experience. Playing together, boys and girls learn to appreciate diverse playing styles and strengths, which can lead to enhanced teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills on the field. This mixed-gender environment also promotes greater social empathy and respect among children, breaking down gender stereotypes and building confidence in interacting with peers of all backgrounds, ultimately preparing them for a more diverse world beyond the soccer pitch.
